Aunt Ruth's Book, Frank's Autobiography, page 1, paragraph 8

My father and Uncle William [Follett] traded a team and wagon for all of Block 4 (between First and Second Street and Robson and MacDonald) [in] Mesa and proceeded to plant it to crops, orchards, and vineyards for themselves and their mother.

Matt, I saw the blog address in your comment to Marianne and decided to check it out. Thank you! I've been helping Mom compile a lot of family history and it's always thrilling to read things through someone else's eyes. Being so young when Grandpa died I didn't get to know him and I'm really looking forward to reading more from his perspective.

“Their mother”? This must mean that Mother Follett was on Mesa as well. Someone please look this up. When did William A. Follett die, and where? And the same questions for Nancy Fausett Follett.

Uncle George talked a lot about Grandma Follett. She apparently was living with them on Hobson street at the time of her death Jan 19, 1941 in Mesa. That is if you are referring to Sarah Mariah Follett. Also if you are referring to William Alexander Follett. He died 19 Oct 1895 in Pima, Graham, Arizona His wife, Nancy Mariah Fausett, died 1 April 1886, also in Pima.

Matt, I was so very happy when Gena told me about your blog. A very good way to keep in touch. I still like email though. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since you guys and my kids were small. I would love to see you now and then. We will be at Dean's in August to have a few days together. My kids decided they needed to get together at least once a year. They are so scattered. Gena and I in the Denver area, Richard in Mesa, Dean in Bloomfield, NM and Marianne in American Fork, Utah. I will be at Richard's sometime this winter, probably for one of the holidays. Would love for any of you that are around to get together with Aunt Martha and I for just one afternoon for lunch and a short visit if it is possible.
Love you lots Aunt Helen

I have a copy/image of the death record of Sarah Maria Follett Ellsworth in Mesa in 1941. I'll try to figure out how to put it on the blog. Thank, you, Aunt Helen, for getting the dates of death for Papa Frank's maternal grandparents. His grandmother Nancy Fausett Follett died in the Pima area one year after the Ellsworths moved to Mesa, and his grandfather died 10 years later.
